Welcome to the first post by your friend, Der Konig, Monty Haltiner. I will be looking to start fresh on a new brewing season as soon as I drink all the homebrew I have. Its a daunting task but there needs to be a new beginning (actually I won’t drink all the imperial stout).

What does everyone do when they have had enough of a subpar batch of beer?

I generally start mixing it with another homebrew. Spiced winter ale gotten to be a bit much? Half and half with a cream ale.

I’ve dumped WAY more subpar beer than I care to openly admit, life is too short to drink crappy beer (even if you made it yourself).
